I am a first time landlord for BLT. I had requested the solicitor to get the gas certificate which said it has passed and also showed me the boiler servicing. Now after completion the letting agent said the gas certificate didn’t have the landlord name so it can’t be accepted and ordered his own contractor and they came back saying it’s not safe to use and needs to be serviced. It’s costing me about 1500. Can I sue the previous gas certificate company who cleared this. Thanks in advance for the advice.
