Updating post from Reddit.
Hi all,
I currently have a couple of buy-to-let properties in my local area, and while things have gone ok-ish, the sharp rise in property prices over the last 5–10 years has made it increasingly difficult to make the numbers work for new purchases here.
As a result, I’m now looking into opportunities in other parts of the UK.
I recently came across Lendlord—it looks promising on the surface, but before diving in, I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has actually used it. Would love to get some honest feedback—both pros and cons.
Thanks in advance!
It’s increasingly difficult to make the BTL numbers work anywhere in the UK, it isn’t going to get any easier in the forseeable future and anyone offering “special deals etc etc” should be treated with a great deal scepticism. Lendlord have a few properties on their website in my area for which they are offering bridging finance at .68 to .91 per MONTH and an arrangement fee of £4,725! They also claim returns would be at least 11.43% - this does not seem to me to be remotely credible. The properties look to me as though they have been pulled off Rightmove, there is nothing special about them.
I use pintech.io, I’m also involved in its development.
Happy to chat feedback and input if you have some free time!
