Any experience? We have a 2 bed in Nottinghill Portobello Road area close to all the shops etc. it’s been let privately and very profitably for 25 years now but the time may come when we want to downsize and use it as our London pad occasionally. HOUST seems an option but I am always very cautious about any short lets. Any one hear have experience of HOUST and how it works in general?
I have no experience of that company, but have used Pass the Keys.
Works flawlessly. Of course its a costly way to do it, but its very effective, I used the full package. They literally do everything, I can block out dates where I might want to use the property. Other than that I get money into my account and they do the rest. They do all the prep, cleaning, linen etc they market on various platforms and have their own client lists. Unless you want to be hands on they are brilliant.
Why are you cautious of short lets? Its like AST rental with decent respectful tenants. No damage, if they damage something they pay for it!
I would NEVER go back to AST rental, ever.
I looked at Houst and opted for Hello Guest in the end. Haven't regretted my choice so far, they're very good.
