QUESTION

Endsleigh/Howden just told me they wont renew landlord insurance because I live in the EU and gave me 7 hours notice before renewal.

I have a property in the UK insured with Endsleigh for many years. They just told me 7 hours before renewal (after taking my money) that they will no longer cover me since I live in the EU. What kind of joke is this ?

Can somebody recommend building/contents insurance for a UK flat for a landlord that lives in the EU. The property is managed by a UK letting agent.

Thanks!

Just tried directline, they want over £500 a year compared to my current policy which is £210

You don't have a policy.

Given the amount of time available to you this may still be worth taking.

Brightside are quite good for unusual requirements generally, not sure how unusual your case is tho.

Luxembourg here. I have a small flat on the UK south coast and pay £125 contents insurance with Total Landlord Insurance.

Call us on 0800 6343 880 or email [email protected]

(Above details copied from email. I have no affiliation with them, other than being a customer)

I have not gone through the claims process with them, so can't comment on that part
