Constantly furnishing - where to buy stuff??

I am constantly furnishing properties here as part of my job and have realised it'll make so much sense to buy some stuff from a wholesaler. Are there any recommendations for wholesalers in the UK that deal with:

  • Crockery
  • Kitchen wear (pots, pans etc)
  • Wall decor (art, frames, etc etc)

Any recommendations will be HIGHLY appreciated!

IKEA have an "IKEA Landlord Pack". My parents used them once some years ago and they liked it. I'm not sure if IKEA include small amenities in this deal, but it could be that they will give you a discount.

Unless you are buying MASSES of the same things at the same time, IKEA.

Hotel suppliers, but you need to be buying 150 pictures the same, 500 cups, 1000 place settings etc they wont supply you 20 cups.

There are loads

Catering suppliers are ok, but crockery is costly as it has to be quality to last in a catering environment.

We block manage a large mixed use studio/ student block with 150 units and used hotel suppliers for the kettles, crockery etc in there when new. On going we use Ikea, currys, something local.

IMHO they only make sense logistically, if you are going to one place and want your 1000 cups in one place at one time.

If you want it split over 5 locations say, use amazon, or ikea, or Jl order online by property so mcuh less messing.

Also look at John Lewis Essentials, a lot of LLs used to use this over ikea if they wanted to be a bit more up market.

Why bother with wall decor and art ? Not every tennant will like your choice, so just stick to the basics.

I like when places come with wall decor /art because it makes it easier to put up your own stuff when you move in without worrying about making additional holes in the walls which you may get charged for when moving out

For crockery and pans check out catering suppliers like Nisbets or even just regular wholesale like Costco et al, you won’t save much compared to highstreet shopping but you will find it’s time saving for VAT reclaim and browsing

Fusion furniture solutions - they’re based in Bolton but service the whole of the uk . Worth having a look - their prices are pretty decent

They do “kitchen packs” which include all the crockery etc - I know because I’ve used them for a property beforehand
