Hmrc guidance seems to say yes but I’ve come across a number of articles from tax companies saying broker/legal fees are fixed at 20% relief similar to the interest element. This would be a btl remortgage as a sole trader.
It changed recently. Mortgage arrangement fees fall into the 20% category now.
