I never accept them.

If I'm asking for a guarantor there's something wrong with you or your credit. I want a family member with credit and an income.

You'd have to find a Landlord that accepts the service.

Plus as far as I can tell it only covers rent arrears (& eviction) and not claims as a result of damage caused.

They also seem to have a variaty of "get out clauses" for reasons not to pay the landlord in the event of a default.

So not much of a guarantor.

Yes, I’ve used them for my current rental property.

Had to pay £660 for the year on a £650 monthly rental.

Had to explain what it was to the landlord, but they were pretty understanding.

Hopefully we don’t have to use them again at renewal as can’t afford it again - we have paid rent punctually, on time and are good tenants. We needed a guarantor due to my husband’s adverse credit.
