Evening all. The cleaning service I plan to use to tidy up between tenants say that all personal belongings must be removed or their guarantee is void and they'll charge me extra.
What do you think they mean by personal belongings? Everything that isn't furniture?
Don't use them for this service.
I've used Fantastic (Cleaners/Gardeners, etc) a few times, and for week to week or one off cleans and such they're absolutely fine.
However I once used them for an end of tenancy and they a) damaged the enamel on a toilet by scraping it b) didn't clean a number of the rooms because these contained personal items (to be disposed of).
What's the point in an end of term clean, if they don't throw out what's been left? Or even clean around it. (They just refused to touch the rooms that had items in).
Maybe I misunderstood the idea of an end of tenancy clean, but if there have been items left by a tenant, then I'm paying them to get rid of them. At least that was my thought.
Everything that belongs to you
The tenants, surely?
Yes.. I pressed 'send' before finishing my sentence.. Everything that doesn't belong to the property
😃
Not a company I would recommend
Ditto Some of their cleaners deliberately threw corrosive chemicals at carpets after a tenant arranged for end of tenancy clean, and had no cash to pay, had card, bank transfer or cheque instead.
Fantastic cleaners laughed when we both called and refused to give any insurance details or give names so we could inform police.
It’s a franchise model and some of the cleans I have seen are laughably bad
If they have the same specification and terms as us its anything that's not on your inventory list that voids the garuntee
Yeah I guess the end of tenancy clean is a price to clean and empty home ready for next tenant. If tenant leaves things that can't go in general waste like a broken chair or dirty mattress then they will dispose of this at an extra cost to the landlord.
Maybe their staff have had to prise sex toys or worse off something . I once found a suspicious single drumstick hidden in the headboard of a rental flats spare bed.
