Any good (even great) providers for expats?

Context: Self employed, living abroad and looking to either remortgage property in the uk ,or get a mortgage, to buy another BTL.

There are plenty of ‘experts for expats’ out there but most are hard sell and seem to spend more money on marketing than their actual expertise.

Any recommendations?

You've not actually said what you're looking for. A btl mortgage provider? A btl broker for non residents? A property management company for non resident landlords? Something else?

Sorry if that wasn’t clear! I’m looking for a btl mortgage provider for non residents (I live outside the uk)

Right ok. I'm currently with Marsdens building society, got them through a specialist broker. Most of their terms are clear online, eg I think property value needs to be at least 167k, you need to be earning equivalent of 60k gbp per year.

Try Liquid Expat. They got me sorted last year and were free if I recall, paid by the mortgage company instead of me. I'd use them again for my next property.

No I’m sure they are fine I just saved more cash and not using a mortgage so in the end I didn’t use them

Expat mortgages? email [email protected] . He helps plenty of expat landlords and is certainly no flashy hard salesman.

Have you calculated your Stamp duty yet? I just got a shock I thought it was only 2% on less than 250.000
