Hi everyone,
For those of you that have purchased a BTL property via a LTD company, what were your solicitor fees cost?
I was originally quoted in the region of £2,200 dependent on the process. Due to 4 weeks of emails between my solicitor and the lender over a disagreement of buildings insurance, I'm now being quoted £2,900. Not yet had a breakdown of fees but this sounds alot.
Just curious as to what others have paid when buying through a LTD company?
Cheers!
Sounds very expensive. Last one in 2022 was £1800 ish
That's seems expensive to me. It inset mine up five years ago.
The fee shouldn't be more than £1200 considering they’re doing minimal work. I was charged £1,170 including VAT and bought a property this year.
Was this a BTL through a ltd company? I've been told it's more expensive due to this.
Yep, a buy to let. You dont even need to specify if you’re buying through a ltd company, as you cant stay in it personally as it will be a company asset. It may be less for me, because I am based in Scotland
Mine is £800 per property
You have to be careful not to be overactive with questions, demands, and disagreements. They will charge extra time for that. Find out exactly what they need and comply with it. Roughly £1600-£1800 is where I have been quoted last year and this year. Some solicitors are deliberately vague, so you continue to send further questions/emails they can charge you to read and respond to.
