Birmingham Court - Accelerated Possession order timescales?

Hi all, just wondering if anyone has had any recent experience submitting an accelerated possession order through Birmingham Courts?

A little background on mine:

I started the process 18th June 2023

Still ongoing, I’m at the stage where I need to pay for the bailiff possession order (costs have gone up since I started the process last year!)

The courts sent me the letter for the repossession order in May, I had not received it. I queried this with them multiple times, they then told me in July this year, to email the courts and ask for a copy of the letter. Once I receive the letter I can follow the instructions on there to make payment, they will not take it over the phone.

I then call the courts again, and say I have not had a response after 2 weeks. They tell me to allow 14weeks for a response… and once that has passed, if I still have not received a call or letter to call back and they will try and take payment over the phone.

Today is 14weeks gone. I called the courts, They tried to pass me through to the team who manage the payments, they are not answering the phones after 2 attempts (9:05am). Now I’m told that they will submit a form for the courts to contact me back, and to allow 10 days for a response…

It’s a complete joke, I have been going through this process for 16 months. And even when i pay for the bailiff, there is no lead time on how long they will take..

Has anyone else had a similar experience? I know it varies court to court, anyone dealt with Birmingham courts before?

I had this with a London court.

No possession letter received in April yet it was issued in October last year.

Get the reference number from the phone to the courts and then apply for baliffs without the possession order.

They have it all on the system so can start the baliffs process.

Update: so after allowing 14 weeks of no response to my emails (as advised by Birmingham Court), I have now been told to allow 10 working days for them to contact me back and take my payment…

Iv never known a more convoluted appalling process in my life. It’s like it’s designed to send you into depression
